How it works

1. Record. A meeting up to 4 hours on Pro, or a short voice note, from the app, Siri, Shortcuts, the Action Button, a widget, Apple Watch, or the Mac and Windows desktop app. Meeting audio is written to disk in segments as it is captured, so an interruption cannot lose the recording.
2. Understand. Speech becomes text, including multilingual and mixed-language speech. Interruptions and audio that never arrived are marked in the transcript rather than stitched over.
3. Read the minutes. A summary, timestamped chapter notes, key points anchored to the moment they came from, action items, your highlights, and the full transcript. Sections load and recover independently.
4. Review the cards. Each commitment becomes one draft card, with the owner and deadline when they were stated and a Needs attention flag when something that matters was left open, at the single destination that fits it best.
5. Send. Approve a card and it is created in the connected app. Nothing is created, updated, or sent externally before that confirmation, and no card claims it was sent when it was not.
6. Keep working. Ask questions about one meeting, a recurring series, or everything you have recorded, and follow the citation back to the moment.

Meeting Minutes

Meeting Minutes is the capability EchoPilot is built around. Free includes recordings within its published minute and duration allowances; Pro raises both and adds speaker turns, translation, rebuilds and longer source retention. A meeting spends meeting minutes and nothing else, recording continues in the background and over the lock screen, and pause and stop stay reachable from the Lock Screen, the Dynamic Island, or the ongoing notification. A recording lock stops an accidental tap in a pocket without ever blocking a safety stop.

After the meeting you can:

• search the transcript, step through matches, and tap a line to play the recording from there;
• jump to a highlight you marked live or added afterwards;
• edit the summary, notes, and key points by hand, with every save kept as a restorable version;
• correct a misheard line in the transcript, with the original recording and the original text kept as evidence and anything built on the old wording marked out of date;
• rebuild the summary against a different template and preview it before it replaces anything;
• export the transcript on its own, the summary and notes on their own, or the whole meeting, as PDF, Markdown or plain text, after a scope and redaction preview;
• translate the minutes on request;
• add custom vocabulary, tag the meeting, link it to a calendar event, or group a recurring series.

Deleting a recording moves it to a bin for 30 days with its audio and cards intact. While it is binned it is unreachable from listing, search, Ask, exports, and playback.

What EchoPilot does not claim

• Uncertain speaker labels. Supported meetings can show timestamped speaker turns, but where reliable attribution is not available the transcript is shown in full without names and says so. EchoPilot does not invent them.
• Follow-along timing. The transcript highlight tracks the audio closely enough to read along with; it is not subtitle-grade word timing and is never used as evidence.
• Missing audio. A gap is marked in the transcript rather than joined across.
• Automatic sending. Nothing reaches a connected app without your confirmation.
• Browser capture. The web app reviews and edits the same account; it does not record. Recording starts on the phone, the watch, or the Mac and Windows desktop app.
• Automatic meeting detection. The desktop app can notice a meeting app and offer to record, but it never starts on its own and we do not claim a verified list of applications it always recognises.

Where EchoPilot runs

iPhone and Android record and review, and carry the widgets, Siri, Shortcuts, the Action Button and the Quick Settings tile. An Apple Watch companion captures from the wrist.

Mac and Windows run a capture app that records your microphone together with the meeting audio your computer is playing, so the other people on a call are in the recording. It lives in the menu bar or system tray, records only after you confirm, and hands the result to the same pipeline a phone recording uses. Meeting audio on Mac needs macOS 14.2 or later; below that it records the microphone and says so. Download it here.

The web app at platform.echopilotapp.com is the signed-in product for a larger screen. It covers sessions, Meeting Minutes, transcript search and audio playback, Ask, action cards, integrations, tags, translation, exports, and account settings.

Ask EchoPilot

Ask answers questions about what you have recorded and shows the recording and timestamp behind the answer. Counts and filters are resolved against your own records rather than summarised by a model, so a question like "how many reminders this week" returns a real number, including zero. You can narrow the scope by kind, tag, date, or series, and a filter that matches nothing returns an honest empty answer instead of quietly searching everything.

Ask is read-only. It never creates, edits, completes, or routes anything. When you explicitly ask it to draft something, the request is handed to the normal card pipeline, where the draft is reviewed and approved like any other card. The Ask index can be deleted at any time in Settings without deleting your recordings.

Apple Watch companion

EchoPilot on Apple Watch covers the moments when reaching for a phone is inconvenient. Record a voice note from your wrist, see transfer and processing status, review today's timed tasks and upcoming reminders, and mark safe internal items complete. The iPhone remains the account and AI authority, so watch recordings become normal EchoPilot sessions rather than a separate watch-only history.

Supported integrations

All integrations are opt-in. Connect what you use; disable the rest at any time. Connected and enabled are separate states, and EchoPilot only offers destinations that are both. The integrations page lists every one of the 18 destinations and what is created in each.

Gmail and Google Chat are not supported.

Languages

Voice understanding and follow-ups handle multilingual and mixed-language speech, including English, Urdu, Hindi, and Pashto in native or Latin script. Action text stays in the language you used unless you ask for a translation.

Meeting minutes can be translated into 32 languages. EchoPilot publishes a tier next to each one rather than a headline count: English, Arabic, Urdu and Hindi have been run end to end (speech to text, minutes, Ask, translation, export, and action extraction) and are labelled verified. The other 28 are offered as best effort, because the full check has not been run on them. Promotion between the two is an evidence change, not a marketing decision.

Hindi and Urdu are one spoken language written in two alphabets, and speech recognition has to pick one. When a meeting is recognised as Hindi or Urdu you can read the transcript in either script. EchoPilot converts the writing, not the words: nothing is translated, nothing is reworded, and the original transcript stays exactly as it was recognised.

Minutes are typeset in the script they are written in. Urdu uses Nafees Web Naskh and reads right to left, Arabic uses Cairo, Pashto uses a face checked against the letters Pashto adds to the Arabic script, and Hindi uses a Devanagari face. English company names, links, figures and timestamps inside a right-to-left sentence keep their own order. The app's own buttons and menus stay in English.

How we use AI

EchoPilot uses automated speech-to-text and analysis to produce minutes and action cards, to interpret follow-ups, and to resolve dates in your timezone. Processors work on our behalf to deliver results in the app. We do not use your content to train generalised machine-learning models.

Privacy

We do not sell user data, do not use your content for advertising, and encrypt OAuth credentials at rest. Anything you share as an image or Markdown export has account identifiers removed first. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
