EchoPilot and Apple Notes

If Apple Notes is where you keep what you want to remember, that is where the things worth keeping from a meeting should go. EchoPilot writes the note; your iPhone saves it where you choose.

What lands in Notes

A note with a title and the text. Not every part of a meeting is a task: a decision to record, a fact to hold on to, a list someone read out. When EchoPilot finds something meant to be kept rather than done, it drafts a note card with a short title and the full text. A note you dictate for yourself (“note to self”, “remember this”) goes to Apple Notes unless you name another notes app, and the card always shows where it is going so you can change it.

How it gets there

Apple does not let other apps write into Notes directly, so EchoPilot uses the share sheet built into your iPhone. Approve the card and the share sheet opens with the title and text already in it. Choose Notes, pick a folder if you want one, and save. There is no account to connect and nothing to set up first.

The whole meeting, too

A single note card holds one thing. For the whole meeting, export the Meeting Minutes: choose the summary and notes, the transcript or the whole meeting, as plain text, Markdown or a PDF, and pick Notes in the share sheet. The complete write-up is then in Apple Notes beside everything else you keep.

After it is saved

Once a note is in Apple Notes, it belongs to Apple Notes, and EchoPilot cannot change it. If you edit the card afterwards, EchoPilot marks it to be shared again, and you save the new version yourself.

iPhone only

Apple Notes is an iPhone destination. On Android and on the web, a note card offers the other places notes can go, including OneNote, Notion, Google Drive and EchoPilot’s own notes, all listed on the integrations page.
