EchoPilot and Apple Reminders

Plenty of people do not want another task app. Apple Reminders is on the phone, it syncs across their devices, it shows up on the watch and in CarPlay, and it is where their shopping list already is. EchoPilot routes to it as a first-class destination.

What lands in Reminders

Both reminders and tasks. The distinction matters in practice: a reminder is something that should interrupt you at a moment, a task is something on a list. EchoPilot picks based on how the commitment was phrased, and you can change it on the card.

Each carries the title, the body, and a due date when one was actually agreed in the conversation.

No account to connect

This is the difference from every other destination on this list. Apple Reminders uses the system permission on your device rather than an OAuth account, so there is nothing to sign into. The first time you route a card there, iOS asks whether EchoPilot may access your reminders, and that is the whole setup.

If you decline the permission and later change your mind, the card tells you to reconnect it in Settings rather than failing silently.

Nothing appears until you approve it

The card names Apple Reminders as the destination and shows the moment in the recording it came from. Nothing is written to your reminders until you confirm.

Because this integration runs on the device, it is available on iPhone. If you also use the Mac or Windows desktop app, a meeting recorded there produces the same cards, and you approve them on your phone or on the web.

EchoPilot’s own reminders

Worth knowing that EchoPilot has its own alarm-style reminders too, which hold the screen rather than sitting in a notification list.
