Microsoft To Do, in depth.
If your working day runs on Microsoft 365, the follow-up to a meeting belongs in Microsoft To Do, next to everything else you have promised. The gap is the step in between: someone has to reread the notes and type in what they agreed to. EchoPilot closes it without taking the decision away from you.
What lands in To Do
Tasks and reminders. When EchoPilot finds a commitment in a meeting, it drafts a task with the wording turned into something actionable rather than a quotation, a due date when one was actually said, and the importance the conversation gave it. When the commitment is a moment rather than a deadline (“remind me before the call on Thursday”), the card becomes a reminder with an alert time instead.
The draft sits in your review queue as a card, showing Microsoft To Do as the destination it picked and the moment in the recording it came from. Tap that and you hear the sentence.
In a list of its own
When you connect, EchoPilot creates a list called EchoPilot in your Microsoft To Do, or uses the one that is already there, and approved tasks go into it. Meeting follow-ups arrive together and never scatter across the lists you already keep; move a task into another list in To Do whenever you like.
Nothing appears until you approve it
Nothing is created in Microsoft To Do until you confirm the card. You can change the destination if EchoPilot guessed wrong, edit the wording, adjust the date, or discard the card entirely. A tool that added tasks to your list on its own would be a tool you had to audit every morning.
Editing after it has been sent
Once a task exists in To Do, EchoPilot can still rename it, change its notes, move its due date or reminder time, change its importance, or mark it complete from the card. Removing it, or moving it to a different destination, asks you to confirm first, because those are the changes that surprise people.
Connecting
Connect Microsoft in Settings, with a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account. It uses OAuth, so EchoPilot never sees your password, and the stored credentials are encrypted at rest. A work or school account may need your organisation’s approval before it can connect. Disconnecting stops future cards from routing to To Do and leaves every task you already created untouched.
A typical flow
You record a supplier review on your laptop. Three commitments come out of it: you will send the revised order by Wednesday, a colleague will confirm the delivery dates, and you want a reminder before the follow-up call. EchoPilot drafts three cards. You approve the first into To Do with Wednesday already set, discard the second because it is not yours, and approve the third as a reminder. None of it involved remembering.
