EchoPilot and Todoist

If Todoist is where your work actually lives, the gap after a meeting is small but expensive: someone has to reread the notes and type in what they agreed to. EchoPilot closes it without taking the decision away from you.

What lands in Todoist

Tasks. When EchoPilot finds a commitment in a meeting, it drafts a task with the wording turned into something actionable rather than a quotation, and with a due date when one was genuinely said in the conversation. If nobody named a date, it does not invent one.

The draft sits in your review queue as a card, showing Todoist as the destination it picked and the moment in the recording it came from. Tap that and you hear the sentence.

Nothing appears until you approve it

This is the rule for every destination and it matters most for the one you actually run your day from. Nothing is created in Todoist until you confirm the card.

You can change the destination if EchoPilot guessed wrong, edit the wording, adjust the date, or discard the card entirely. A tool that silently added tasks to Todoist would be a tool you had to audit every morning, which is more work than typing them yourself.

Editing after it has been sent

Once a task exists in Todoist, EchoPilot can still rename it, change its description or change its due date from the card. Removing it, or moving it to a different destination, asks you to confirm first, because those are the changes that surprise people.

Connecting

Connect Todoist in Settings. It uses OAuth, so EchoPilot never sees your password, and the stored credentials are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect at any time; disconnecting stops future cards from routing there and leaves the tasks you already created untouched.

A typical flow

You record a project review on your phone. Three commitments come out of it: you will send the revised scope by Thursday, a colleague will confirm the budget, and someone will book the follow-up. EchoPilot drafts three cards. The first two are yours, so you approve them into Todoist with Thursday already set. The third is not your job, so you discard it. Total time: about fifteen seconds, and none of it spent remembering.
