Hindi (हिन्दी) is one of four languages EchoPilot verifies end to end, alongside English, Arabic and Urdu. Most meeting tools list Hindi somewhere in a long table. EchoPilot has run a real Hindi recording through the whole product and recorded the result.

What verified means

A real Hindi recording was taken through every stage: speech to text, the Meeting Minutes and the action items drawn from them, Ask, translation and export, and the honest fallback when speakers cannot be told apart. Every stage passed, and the run is recorded with its date. Languages that have not had that run are labelled best effort in the app.

Hindi and English in one meeting

Very few working meetings in Hindi stay in Hindi. A deadline is said in English, a product name, a whole sentence when the topic turns technical. The transcript keeps each word in the language it was spoken in, rather than forcing the meeting into one, and every line plays its moment in the recording.

Devanagari, not Urdu script

In everyday speech, Hindi and Urdu are one language written in two scripts, and speech recognition hears the words, not the reader. Left to guess, a transcript can come back in Urdu script that a Hindi reader cannot read.

Choose Hindi once in Settings, under Meeting Language, on your phone or the web, and every meeting is written in Devanagari: the title, the summary, the chapters, the key points, the action items, your highlights and the transcript. Leave the setting on Ask me and you can switch a single meeting from its own page or its transcript instead. The choice changes how the meeting is written, never what was said; nothing is processed again, and it costs nothing.

Set in a Devanagari typeface

Hindi content is set in Noto Sans Devanagari on iPhone, Android and the web, with line spacing taken from the typeface’s real height, so the marks above and below the letters are not cut off. PDF exports use the same typeface.

Name the app in Hindi

Destinations can be named in Hindi. Say गूगल कैलेंडर, गूगल टास्क, टूडूइस्ट or ऐप्पल रिमाइंडर and the card is drafted for Google Calendar, Google Tasks, Todoist or Apple Reminders. Every card still waits for your approval, and nothing is created in any app before you confirm it. The meeting actions page shows a card for every destination.

A Hindi meeting stays Hindi

The Meeting Minutes are written in the language of the meeting. For a colleague who reads English, translate the minutes on Pro; the translation sits beside the Hindi original and never replaces it. Ask answers questions about the meeting and cites the moment it used.

Can I choose whether a meeting is written in Urdu or Hindi?
Yes. Hindi and Urdu are one spoken language written in two scripts, so speech recognition cannot tell which one you read. Choose Urdu or Hindi once in Settings, under Meeting Language, on your phone or the web, or leave it on Ask me and switch a single meeting from its own page or its transcript. The whole meeting follows the choice: title, summary, chapters, key points, action items, highlights and transcript. Nothing is recorded or processed again, it costs nothing, and it never touches a meeting in any other language: English stays English and Arabic stays Arabic.
Can EchoPilot translate meeting minutes?
Yes, on Pro and on request. Minutes can be translated into 32 languages. English, Arabic, Urdu and Hindi have been verified end to end and are labelled as such in the app; the rest are offered as best effort and the app says so rather than implying more. A translation is added beside the original, never in place of it: the transcript stays in the language that was spoken, you can switch back to the original at any time, and the language you choose follows the meeting to your other devices.
Does EchoPilot label who said what?
On Pro, and only when you ask. Identifying speakers is the most expensive thing EchoPilot does, so it runs when you tap for it rather than automatically: for supported meetings it produces timestamped speaker turns you can rename or merge per meeting. When reliable attribution is unavailable, it shows the full transcript without names and says so rather than guessing. On Free the transcript is shown by timestamp.
